Synopsis

“God, Country, Notre Dame: The Story of Father Ted Hesburgh, CSC” is a one-hour documentary about the life of one of this country’s most respected educators. This in-depth biography chronicles the life of Father Ted, the man who led the University of Notre Dame for 35 years and was a trusted confidant of popes, presidents and academic leaders around the world – and yet considered himself simply a priest.

Produced by Family Theater Productions, this documentary details Father Ted’s life from his boyhood in Syracuse, N.Y., and his tenure as president of Notre Dame to his work as an education reformer and counselor to world leaders. “God, Country, Notre Dame” offers an informative look at one of the most influential men of the 20th century.

This inspiring story features interviews with Condoleezza Rice, President George H.W. Bush, President Jimmy Carter, Ara Parseghian and others, talking about the role Father Ted has played in their lives. “God, Country, Notre Dame” will be broadcast on television and is available for purchase on DVD with additional footage and interviews.
